How much does bookkeeping cost?
Monthly bookkeeping with BDE starts at $119 a month. What you actually pay depends on how many bank and credit card accounts you carry, how many transactions run through them, whether payroll is involved, and whether there is cleanup to do before monthly work can start. Do I have to be near Shelbyville, Tennessee?
No. BDE is a fully online practice. Shelbyville is home and Middle Tennessee is well served, but the work is done remotely, so a client in another state is handled exactly the same way.
My books are a long way behind. Is that a problem?
No, and it is the most common way people arrive. Six months, two years, longer — all of it is recoverable. Being behind only changes how long the catch-up takes, which is why looking at it sooner costs less than looking at it later.
Do I need QuickBooks already?
Not to get started. If you already use QuickBooks Online, that is ideal. If you are on spreadsheets, another package, or nothing at all, the review covers what makes sense for your business and setup can be handled for you.
Who actually does the work?
